Let me introduce myself:
My name is Kelleigh Charlotte Gleason, and I’ve been a Bedford resident since 2009. I grew up in Manchester, NH, graduated from Memorial High School, and attended Boston College for undergrad and the University of Richmond and Vermont Law School. I am a practicing attorney in Manchester, and I handle family law, civil litigation and business matters for my clients.
Like many of you, I moved here because Bedford offers an excellent school district with both a small-town feel, and city-esque amenities. I have three children in the Bedford School District, and I have been involved in this community for years, serving in the past as a member of the Town Council and as its first Female Chairwoman. I’ve also coached youth sports around town for over a decade. I serve on local boards, to include the board of 603 Legal, which focuses on providing pro bono (free) legal representation to those in need.
I am a Professor of Family Law at UNH Law, and I volunteer each year with the domestic violence miniseries at the law school. Advocating for domestic violence victims is near and dear to my heart, and in 2025, I won the distinguished Pro Bono award for the State of New Hampshire for my work with domestic violence victims.
I am a past recipient of the Union Leader’s 40 under Forty award, and have received the Key to the City of Manchester for my past work as a school board member and Ward 12 Alderman under the leadership of then-mayors Bob Baines and Frank Guinta.
I also serve as the Executive Director of the Daniel Webster Batchelder American Inn of Court.
I am running for Town Council because I believe in accountable, transparent, and responsive local government. I knows firsthand that community success depends on thoughtful leadership, active listening in a respectful and kind manner, and putting people first — values I bring to every decision.
